You think thousands of thoughts every day. You talk to yourself more than anyone else. They are your most trusted advisor and confidant. Many of the conversations you have with yourself you would never share with anyone else because it would reveal the “real” you. The self that is filled with self-doubt, worry, sadness, guilt, hurt and disappointment.
But that’s not the “real you” at all. This is the you that your ego and belief systems have built. These negative beliefs were constructed by you and accepted by you as truth. The sad thing is that nothing could be further from the truth.
Where do these misconceptions about you come from? They mostly came from others; Parents, teachers, colleagues and friends. Maybe you planted the seed by saying something like “She’s fat,” and you nurtured those comments to the point where they became your truth.
You allow your entire life to be controlled by some obscure comment you made years ago. No one has the right or the power to tell you who you are. Only you know who you really are and what is in your heart.

When you were born, you came into this world without the burdens of your current negative belief system. You came into this world as a beautiful bundle of joy, filled with unlimited potential and possibilities.
I’m here to tell you that you haven’t changed. You are and will always be a beautiful bundle of joy with unlimited possibilities and possibilities.
The only difference is where you focus your attention. Let me ask you a question: If you have stopped negative conversations you are currently having with yourself, e.g.
- I am too fat
-Why should I
want to love someone – I’ll never get thin
be – I fail
Always And the list goes on and on… How would you feel? Do you think you would feel emotionally lighter? Do you think you would feel happier? Do you think you would feel more confident?
How do you think your life would be different if you took it a step further and changed the way you talk to yourself by only speaking positively about yourself? If you take some time and focus on what you love about yourself and just focus on that, your emotional state will become positive enough to be able to achieve anything.
Once you start looking for the positive things within you, you will be surprised to find that your fame has always been just below the surface. You were never anything other than the radiant bundle of joy that came into the world years ago. It’s easy to discover positive aspects of yourself by asking a few questions.
– What am I good at?
– Who benefited from me being in the world?
– Who am I, what is in my heart that only I know?
– What do I like about my body?
Your goal is to feel good now. How do you feel now? If you only observe what you find positive about yourself, you will feel good, you will be happy. Decide here and now how you want to feel. Decide that you will always look for the good in yourself and value that good.

What does all this have to do with losing weight? Everything!!! Your emotional state is the control valve that determines what you include in your experience. The way you talk to yourself creates your beliefs and programs your subconscious. So you have to ask yourself if you want your beliefs and subconscious programming to be based on false negative thinking. Or do you want your beliefs to be based on the truth that you are and always have been a perfect being?
Start loving and taking care of yourself today. Allow the joy, playfulness, and enthusiasm you naturally had as a child to flow into your everyday experiences. Allow yourself to celebrate every small success. Love and appreciate yourself every chance you get. Do this every day and watch your weight decrease as your old negative beliefs about yourself begin to dissipate.
